The organisers of ISAPA 2019 bring a practitioners programme to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, 14-18 June 2019!
The International Federation Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA) is an international organization of higher education scholars, practitioners and students dedicated to promoting adapted physical activity. IFAPA coordinates the biennial International Symposium of Adapted Physical Activity (ISAPA). Recent host cities for ISAPA were Paris, France (2011), Istanbul, Turkey (2013), Netanya, Israel (2015), and Daegu, South Korea (2017). The last time ISAPA was in the United States was in 1991 in Miami, Florida.
There is a three-day Practitioners’ Workshop within the larger five-day symposium (see tentative schedule below). This workshop presents cutting-edge information within the themes of disability sport, unique programs, and autism. Practitioners can attend just the three-day practioners workshop and/or attend scientific presentations throughout the full five-day symposium.

Dormitory rooms will be available for a very reasonable rate of approximately $60 single and $80 double. Two symposium hotels are offering a special rate of $169 per night for double occupancy. Both hotels are walking distance to the venue. There are many other hotels in and around Charlottesville that will work if you have a car.
