We are excited to announce that registration is open for the 47th National Adapted Physical Education Conference (NAPEC) in San Diego. It will be held November 8-10, 2018 at the Westin Gaslamp, located in the heart of the historic downtown Gaslamp District.
The CAHPERD State Council on Adapted Physical Education (SCAPE) is pleased to present a variety of relevant topics and outstanding speakers, all in the fabulous location of San Diego, California!
Program Content
With an overarching theme of INCLUSION, the 3-day event will include a multitude of activity and lecture sessions, designed to provide participants with new ideas and best practices in Adapted Physical Education. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear about the latest trends, and network with others in the profession.
Keynote
We are proud to announce our Opening Keynote Speaker is Martin Block. He is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Virginia where he teaches courses in adapted physical education. He is the author of over 75 peer-reviewed articles, 20 chapters in books, and 5 books on adapted physical education and including A Teachers’ Guide to Including Students with Disabilities in General Physical Education. Professor Block is the Editor of the Journal Palaestra, he is President of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA), and he is past-president of the National Consortium for Physical Education for Individuals with Disabilities (NCPEID).

Registration

On-site registration fees will be $60 higher in all categories, except student and retiree. In addition, meal tickets cannot be guaranteed for those who register on-site. We encourage you to register early!
