Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly (APAQ) has announced the recipients of its 2025 Reviewer of the Year and Papers of the Year Awards, recognising contributions to research and scholarly review in adapted physical activity.<\/p>\n

Dr. Fabi\u00e1n Arroyo-Rojas, Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Hofstra University, was named 2025 APAQ Reviewer of the Year.<\/p>\n

Two publications received the 2025 APAQ Paper of the Year Award. Maria Lu\u00edza Tanure Alves, Michelle Grenier and Martin Giese were recognised for \u201cInequality as Natural Phenomenon: A Critical Reflection on Physical Education for Disabled Students Through the Lens of Ableism.\u201d<\/em> The paper examines physical education for disabled students through a critical perspective on ableism.<\/p>\n

Dineo Tshosa and Nancy L.I. Spencer were also recognised for \u201cExamining Axiological and Ethical Assumptions in Physical Activity Intervention Research involving Individuals With Intellectual Impairments: A Review.\u201d<\/em> Their work examines ethical and value-based assumptions within physical activity intervention research.<\/p>\n
