The International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA) and Special Olympics will host a webinar titled \u201cFrom Partnership to Practice: Building Collaborative Health Research with Special Olympics Programs\u201d on Friday, 6 November 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET).<\/p>\n

The webinar is the final session of the Inclusive Research Partnership Series and will focus on strengthening collaboration between researchers and Special Olympics programmes to advance health and fitness research involving people with intellectual disabilities.<\/p>\n

The session will examine Special Olympics fitness initiatives, research and evaluation approaches, and the use of Healthy Athletes\u00ae screening data to support scientific studies and improve health programmes.<\/p>\n

Speakers will also discuss opportunities for accessing health data, conducting secondary analyses, and recruiting participants through SO Link. The webinar will provide practical guidance for researchers and professionals interested in developing collaborative research projects with Special Olympics.<\/p>\n
