The International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE) held its 32nd General Assembly on 20 July 2025 at the German Sport University Cologne. The event brought together nearly 50 delegates from around the world, both onsite and online, to review past work and set goals for the next term.

A main outcome of the Assembly was the election of all members of the Executive Board and Development Committee. Dr. Claire Boursier, Past President of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA), was elected to the Executive Board after completing her term on the Development Committee (2021–2025). Her continued involvement supports the inclusion of disability and adapted activity in ICSSPE’s planning and leadership.

Dr. Kwok Ng, also representing IFAPA, was elected to the Development Committee. He brings experience in policy, research, and community-based work in adapted physical activity and health promotion.

Appreciation is extended to Dr. David Legg, who concluded his service on the Executive Board. His work supported ICSSPE’s global mission and strengthened the visibility of inclusion and accessibility in physical activity.

The Assembly also approved reports from the Executive Director, Board, and Treasurer, and confirmed the 2025–2026 budget. Delegates recognized outgoing President Uri Schaefer for his leadership from 2014 to 2025.

IFAPA thanks ICSSPE and the German Sport University Cologne for hosting the Assembly and looks forward to continued collaboration under the leadership of President Prof. Dr. Annette R. Hofmann and the newly elected governance teams.
