A new full-time position is now open for an Adapted Physical Activity (APA) Consultant specializing in Para Sport at The Steadward Centre, Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation, University of Alberta. This opportunity is part of Competition 2287 and offers a salary range between $47,918.92 and $64,697.48, with 35 working hours per week. Applications are open until June 20, 2025.

The successful candidate will support the design and implementation of adapted physical activity programs, with a focus on athlete development, para sport, and young adult initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting consultations and assessments, delivering individual and group programming, collaborating with local organizations, and contributing to athlete training using evidence-based approaches.

Applicants should hold a degree in kinesiology or a related field, First Aid and CPR Level C certification, and have experience in para sport or working with individuals with impairments. A CSEP-CPT is required (or willingness to obtain within three months), and a CSEP-CEP is preferred.
