The III Congress of the Chilean Society of Adapted Physical Activity (SOCHIAFA) will take place on March 20–21, 2026, at the Universidad Viña del Mar, in Viña del Mar, Chile. This biennial event brings together academics, professionals, researchers, educators, students, and organizations dedicated to promoting inclusion through adapted physical activity and sport.

Organized in collaboration with the Universidad Viña del Mar, the congress will feature keynote lectures, workshops, oral communications, and poster sessions, all aimed at advancing scientific knowledge and applied practices in the field. The program will address a wide range of topics related to rehabilitation, inclusive and Paralympic sport, adapted physical education, and disability rights in physical activity.

The 2026 edition will also mark the launch of the Chilean University Network for Adapted Physical Activity, aimed at strengthening academic collaboration at the national level.

The congress aligns with the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals—particularly those related to health, education, equity, and partnerships—and supports Chile’s commitments under disability rights conventions and national legislation (Laws 20.422 and 20.978).
