A new webinar series focused on collaborative research in inclusive sport has been launched in partnership with Special Olympics programs. The session titled “Building Collaborative Sport Research with Special Olympics Programs” will take place on May 22, 2026, at 09:00 (ET).
The series aims to promote collaboration between researchers and Special Olympics programs across key areas such as sport, health and fitness, and education. It will highlight recent initiatives and provide practical opportunities to develop inclusive research partnerships that support evidence-based sport programming.
The webinar will present examples of ongoing collaborations and outline pathways for researchers and practitioners to engage with Special Olympics programs at local and international levels. The initiative seeks to strengthen connections between academic research and applied practice, contributing to the development of inclusive and sustainable sport environments.
The session is open to researchers, professionals, and stakeholders interested in advancing inclusive sport through collaboration.
