On Wednesday, 12 November 2025, the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) Disability Sport and Physical Activity (DisSPA) Network will launch its 2025–2026 seminar series with a webinar focused on inclusion in Physical Education. The session, held in collaboration with the LJMU Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) Network, will take place online from 13:30 to 14:30 GMT-3.

The opening seminar will feature Dr. Alexandra Consterdine, who will present recent findings from her research on the views of parents, carers, and support workers regarding the inclusivity of Physical Education for pupils with learning disabilities. The presentation will cover key areas such as teacher strategies, peer attitudes, curriculum development, and the role of professional training in shaping inclusive practices.

The session is designed for educators, school leaders, coaches, researchers, and others interested in promoting inclusive physical education and sport environments. Practical recommendations will also be shared to inform policy and improve everyday practices in schools.

This webinar marks the beginning of a new academic series that will regularly engage professionals and communities to advance knowledge and action in disability sport and physical activity.
