The Adapted Physical Activities Symposium is a pioneering initiative of the Social Service of Commerce – Sesc São Paulo . It was held between 28-31st August 2019. Since 1997, it stands out in both the academic and social fields, and has the support of Universities and organizations linked to work on the theme of Disability and Adapted Physical Activity.
The event became international from 2002, when it adopted the coming of professionals from other countries. In addition, it has since 2003 been supported by Sobama – Brazilian Association of Adapted Motor Activity .
