The latest issue of PALAESTRA (Volume 39, No. 2) is now available, offering a wide range of scholarly and practical insights into adapted physical activity, sport, and recreation for individuals with disabilities. This quarterly publication continues its mission to inform and empower educators, practitioners, parents, and individuals by sharing evidence-based practices and resources.
The current issue includes feature articles on relevant topics such as the influence of disability sports awareness activities on university students’ attitudes, recommendations for implementing remote adapted Zumba®, and the development of tools for selecting adapted physical education assessments. It also presents a retrospective evaluation of an emergency support program for evacuees with disabilities, explores physical activity barriers in children with CHARGE syndrome, and examines how CrossFit may serve as a transitional space for wounded veterans. Another study discusses how service minutes in adapted physical education are determined in school settings.
Additional sections include practical guidance on sports nutrition for athletes on a budget and newly published adapted sports guides from Move United.
PALAESTRA is indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), with full discoverability through Web of Science and inclusion in citation metrics such as the h-index and Journal Citation Reports.
