The Center for Movement, Health & Disability (CMHD) at Old Dominion University is currently seeking qualified applicants for a non-tenure track position as a Research Assistant Professor in the field of Movement, Health, and Disability. This role, based within the Department of Human Movement Sciences, offers a 10-month appointment beginning in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will contribute to the CMHD’s mission by establishing a visible research program and actively pursuing external grant funding.

Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in Adapted Physical Activity or a closely related field, with ABD candidates considered if they are set to complete their degree by July 15, 2025. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong record of published research, the potential for a nationally or internationally recognized research agenda, and experience in mentoring graduate students. Preferred qualifications include a history of successful external grant acquisition to support research and training initiatives.
