Disabled Sports USA is one of the largest multi-sport, multi-disability organizations in the country, serving over 60,000 youth, wounded warriors and adults annually. DSUSA’s vision is that “every person, regardless of ability, has an equal opportunity to participate in sports and recreation in their community.”

Since 1967, Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) has focused on one goal: To improve the lives of wounded warriors, youth and adults with disabilities by providing sports and recreation opportunities. With more than 120 chapters in 42 states, Disabled Sports USA’s mission is to provide national leadership and opportunities for individuals with disabilities to develop independence, confidence, and fitness through participation in community sports, recreation and educational programs.

Over 50 different adaptive sports are offered, including alpine and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, sled hockey, wheelchair basketball, golf, cycling, swimming, scuba, track & field, archery, climbing, hiking, and more. These sports opportunities are transformative, highlighting the potential in each of us, embodied in the DSUSA motto: “If I can do this, I can do anything!”

A new 2019 adaptive sports calendar has been produced to highlight the athletes, adaptive sports offerings, and local DSUSA chapters across the country with more than 12 images by photographers like Tyler Stableford, Reed Hoffmann, Deborah McFadden, Sam Levitan, and others.

Athletes include youth as young as 12 years old to Paralympians such as Tatyana McFadden and Nicole Roundy, as well as wounded warfighters and other youth and adults with physical disabilities.

The calendar also includes several 2019 regional games, a listing of all DSUSA chapters and programs, and other interesting information. To download your free copy of the 2019 Adaptive Sports Calendar, click here.
