A new opportunity is available for professionals interested in contributing to the development of Para swimming. Applications are now open for the full-time position of Classification Manager within World Para Swimming, based at the IPC headquarters in Bonn, Germany.
The role includes managing the Para swimming classification portfolio, coordinating international classification opportunities, supporting the implementation of the classification strategy, and ensuring compliance with the IPC Classification Code. Key tasks involve maintaining classification rules and guidelines, collaborating with classification working groups and volunteer classifiers, and contributing to research activities related to sport-specific classification.
Applicants should have experience in compliance or sports integrity, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to understand medical documentation. A background in sport management, sport science, or related fields is required. Additional experience in classification, Para swimming, biomechanics, kinesiology, adapted physical activity, or physiotherapy is considered beneficial. The role also requires availability for international travel and work in fast-paced environments.
