The North American Federation of Adapted Physical Activity has opened the application process to select the host institution for the 2028 NAFAPA Symposium. Interested institutions are invited to submit proposals outlining their capacity to deliver this scientific meeting, which focuses on advancing research, practice, and collaboration in adapted physical activity.

Applications may be up to ten pages and should include details on the proposed conference location, the institution’s motivation for hosting, and information on the planning team. Submissions must also describe the conference venue, anticipated institutional support, accommodation options, the nearest airport, and plans for budgeting. Applicants are encouraged to outline potential additional activities such as social events and local attractions to complement the scientific programme.

The NAFAPA Board will review all proposals, with notification scheduled for July 1, 2026. Applications must be submitted by email to the NAFAPA President by April 1, 2026. This call presents an opportunity for institutions to support the development of adapted physical activity by hosting a key event for researchers, educators, and practitioners in the field.
