IPC Classification Co-ordinator (f/m/x)
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement.
The IPC supervises the organisation of the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, and serves as International Federation for 10 sports, for which it supervises and co-ordinates the World Championships and other competitions. The IPC is committed to enabling para-athletes to achieve sporting excellence and to developing sport opportunities for all persons with an impairment from the beginner to elite level.
The IPC aims to make for a more inclusive society for people with an impairment through para-sport.The IPC offers the position of a full-time IPC Classification Co-ordinator (f/m/x) in a multicultural and international team at the IPC Headquarters in Bonn, Germany, starting as soon as possible. It is a one-year position with possibility of renewal.
Responsibilities:
Support developing and implementing the World Para Athletics global classification strategy
Act as contact person for World Para Athletics classification matters to the sport membership
Assist co-ordinating the international classification calendar and activities at Para Athletics events
Maintain the World Para Athletics classification database for all classification/related matters
Assist in developing and maintaining classification documents (e.g. Rules and Regulation, guidelines and education materials)
Support the delivery of World Para Athletics classification education and research activities
Support education and (re-)certification activities for classifiers
Liaise with the Classification Advisory Group and supporting Sports Technical Committees
Conduct day-to-day administrative activities for the World Para Athletics operation and assist in World Para Athletics and IPC Medical & Scientific Department activities as required.
You should meet our requirements:
Master degree in sports science with major orientation in biomechanics or kinesiology
Have expertise and/or experience in the field of Para sport and have a strong interest in scientific concepts and methodologies related to sport-specific classification
Excellent organisational skills
Proven ability to meet deadlines, operate with limited supervision and multitask in a fast changing environment, including during occasional weekend work and business trips
Computer literate in MS Office
Good communication skills and excellent verbal and written command in English (knowledge in other languages is a plus)
Detail-oriented and meticulous work manner

The salary level for Assistants/Co-ordinators in a full-time position at the IPC is between EUR 2,400 -3,000 gross per month.
