The Children’s Sport Participation and Physical Activity 2018 (CSPPA2018) study is now available.

Led by Professor Catherine Woods (@catherinebwoods), from the University of Limerick, Ireland. All main outcomes were reported through disaggregation by disability. Disability was measured through the self-reported version of the Washington Group on Disability Statistics and UNICEF – Child Functioning Module (http://www.washingtongroup-disability.com/washington-group-question-sets/child-disability/) and was responded by all 6,651 respondents.

The entire report covers 6 focus areas of young adolescents aged between 10-18yrs old in;

  • Physical Activity
  • Community Sport
  • School Sport
  • Physical Education
  • Active Travel
  • Sedentary Behaviour

The report also covers the island of Ireland and was produced in cooperation between Sport Ireland, Sport Northern Ireland and Healthy Ireland.
