The School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences at the University of Queensland (UQ) has announced an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Rehabilitation, Disability Sport, and Physical Activity. This full-time, fixed-term position runs through 30 June 2028 and is based at UQ’s St Lucia Campus in Brisbane, Australia.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the NIISQ Chair in Physical Activity and Disability to advance research that enhances health, rehabilitation, and inclusion for people with disabilities. The position focuses on developing and delivering evidence-based programs that support participation and well-being, aligning with the global momentum toward the Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games.

Responsibilities include leading innovative research, mentoring early-career researchers, and fostering collaborations across health, sport, and community sectors. The postdoctoral fellow will also contribute to teaching and knowledge translation activities that strengthen inclusive practices in rehabilitation and physical activity.

Applicants must hold a PhD in sport and exercise sciences, rehabilitation sciences, public health, or a related discipline, and have experience working with people with disabilities in physical activity or rehabilitation contexts.
