The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has launched the second call for the IPC Classification Research Grant, covering the period 2026–2028. The initiative aims to support multidisciplinary research projects that contribute to the development of evidence-based and best practice classification systems in Para sport.

The application process will be conducted in two phases. Phase 1 (Project Summary) is open from April 21 to May 31, 2026, with outcomes expected by the end of June. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal (Phase 2) between July and August 2026, with final decisions anticipated by the end of September.

Projects will run between 12 and 24 months, with completion expected by October 2028. Funding is available across four bands, ranging from EUR 30,000 to EUR 150,000.

Applications are open to International Federations, National Paralympic Committees, research institutions, and related organizations. An informational webinar will be held on April 29, 2026, to support prospective applicants.
