Registration is now open for the next webinar in the collaborative research series between Special Olympics and the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA). Titled “Building Collaborative Education Research with Special Olympics Programs,” the webinar will take place on 28 August 2026 at 3:00 PM (Central European Time).

The session will focus on opportunities for researchers, educators, and Special Olympics Programs to develop collaborative research that supports inclusive education and strengthens school-based programming. Participants will learn about recent initiatives, practical examples of successful partnerships, and strategies for building meaningful collaborations that improve participation and educational outcomes for people with intellectual disabilities.

The webinar is part of an ongoing series highlighting research partnerships across sport, health and fitness, and education. It aims to connect researchers and practitioners, encourage knowledge exchange, and support the development of evidence-informed programs within the Special Olympics movement.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to register in advance. Recordings of the previous webinars and additional information about the Special Olympics–IFAPA partnership are also available through the partnership webpage.
