The Chinese University of Hong Kong is offering positions for Professor(s)/ Associate Professor(s)/ Assistant Professor(s) at the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education.
This position requires a commitment to scholarly productivity, teaching excellence, and professional service. The successful candidate will be positioned to bridge many of the research sub-disciplines in the Department. Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in sports/ exercise science, kinesiology, public health or a closely related discipline; (ii) evidence of a strong record of publications in high-quality international journals; (iii) competence and experience in course teaching and research student supervision; and (iv) experience in program administration and/ or development.
The appointee(s) will (a) teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses; (b) supervise graduate students; (c) publish in top-tier sports-related journals; and (d) be involved in the development and delivery of teaching programs.
Appointment will normally be made on a contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation. For candidates with outstanding research/ scholarship credentials and very good teaching/ service records, substantiation may be considered at the initial appointment.
