David Legg, President of IFAPA had an opportunity in December 2021 to meet online with Dr. Robert Steadward, the founding President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and discuss his growth, evolution as a leader and his thoughts on the importance of leadership in adapted physical activity. Four separate interviews took place that followed the chronology of Dr. Steadward’s career including the growth of grassroots adapted sport in Canada and the founding of the International Paralympic Committee in 1989 and growth of the movement until 2001 when he stepped down as President.
