The Board of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA) presents this call for proposals to host the Biennial International Symposium of Adapted Physical Activity (ISAPA) 2025 and seeks expressions of interest from member agencies.

ISAPA provide physical activity professionals with an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience in professional preparation, research, advocacy, and service delivery in the fields of adapted physical activity, physical education, and sport science. ISAPA programs include research presentations, innovative sessions for the discussion of new ideas, practical workshops, and an international film contest.

The ISAPA brings together more than 300 professionals and practitioners worldwide to discuss emerging issues and best practices in adapted physical activity. Hosting an ISAPA offer an enhancement platform and helps to bring together locally adapted physical activity groups and organizations in the host country.

The biennial ISAPA is widely recognized as the leading international event in adapted physical activity. The symposium offers a space to:

  • Present cutting-edge developments and research in the field;
  • provide international and regionalized perspectives, insight, and experience from world-renowned experts, leading academics in adapted physical activity;
  • provide professional and practitioner development, interaction, and knowledge exchange with universities, international governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and research organizations involved in the field;
  • Build networks, with the opportunity to make connections and strengthen existing relations with different member organizations.

The deadline for applicants for hosting 2025 ISAPA is 1st February 2023.
