The National Seminar on Inclusive Sport is an annual meeting point where professionals in education, physical activity, sport, other professions, people, and organizations involved in the daily lives of people with disabilities, participate in the debate and analyze current aspects for the development of the inclusive sport.
The IV edition of the National Seminar on Inclusive Sport will be held at the facilities of the Blasco Ibañez campus of the University of Valencia. The lectures and plenary tables will be held in the auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, while the practical workshops will be held in the sports facilities of the University: University Pavilion, and outdoor tracks.
Academic perspectives and good professional practices are found in this training space and exchange of experiences for the full participation of people with disabilities in different areas and contexts of physical activity and sport. This seminar seeks to respond to different challenges and challenges related to the practice of sports by people with disabilities. In this regard, it is worth highlighting Article 30.5 of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which advocates “participating on an equal basis with others in recreational, leisure and sporting activities”.
