The International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA) general assembly took place on 27th June 2023, St. David’s Lecture, University of Otago, New Zealand. This event coincided with the 24th International Symposium of Adapted Physical Activity (ISAPA).

The general assembly included in person presentations by

  • (outgoing) President – David Legg
  • President elect – Cindy Sit
  • Vice President – Kwok Ng
  • Regional Representatives from Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania
  • Newsletter
  • Webmaster
  • Adapted Physical Activity Quarter (APAQ) editor

In addition, elections took place, where the positions were filled

  • Treasurer – J.P. Barfield
  • Secretary – Jooyeon Jin
  • NESAPA co-chair – Francis Asare & Aysegul ‘Rosa’ Aksoy

The general assembly ended by Professor David Legg passing on the Gravel to Professor Cindy Sit as the Presidency was passed on. Professor Sit spoke of deep gratitude to the help of Professor David Legg and Professor Dwan Bridges for their work in the past years on the board of IFAPA and spoke of what she aims to do during her time as President of IFAPA.
