Dear APA Friends,

The IFAPA board is clearly saddened that the upcoming regional conferences are being cancelled or postponed. These are significant and meaningful opportunities for our movement but most important is the safety and health of our friends and colleagues. We also want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the conference organizing committees who put in so much time, energy and passion into the planning for these events. We know they would have outstanding.

ASAPE 4-8th August 2020

ASAPE message from Cindy Sit, PhD, President, ASAPE, Chairperson, Organizing Committee of ASAPE 2020 Hong Kong:

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ASAPE Board and the Organizing Committee of ASAPE 2020 Hong Kong have made a hard decision and announced the cancellation of ASAPE 2020 scheduled for August 6-8, 2020, Hong Kong. It is important for us to put the health and well-being of our members and friends on top priority.

NAFAPA 13-15th October 2020

NAFAPA message from Stamatis Agiovlasitis, PhD, President of NAFAPA @NorthAmericaAPA:

The NAFAPA board held an emergency meeting with Maureen Connelly from Brock University, hosts of the NAFAPA symposium 2020. A unanimous decision was made to postpone the conference as it is the best interest of everyone.

EUCAPA 21-23rd October 2020

EUFAPA message from Raul Reina, PhD, President Elect, EUFAPA @EUFAPA, Organizing Committee of EUCAPA 2020 Elche @EUCAPA2020:

The EUFAPA board met with the local organisers of EUCAPA 2020 and came to the hard decision that EUCAPA 2020 will not take place in Elche in Spain in October 2020 as planned because of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. In consequence, the abstract submission process and the international volunteer program are both interrupted. Those authors that submitted abstracts and those volunteers that applied will be contacted by the local organizers as soon as possible.

The EUFAPA board will now explore the possibility of creating a virtual opportunity to promote and disseminate research in APA and to connect our members during 2020. A further announcement will be made before the end of April outlining EUFAPA’s virtual plans and how members can get involved.
