The SJR rankings have been published and the Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly (APAQ) returns its status as a top quartile (Q1) journal in the field of physical therapy, sport therapy and Rehabilitation.

It has also moved to the 2nd Quartile of Sport Science. The last time it was in the first quartile was in 2017.

APAQ is the official journal of IFAPA and its currently Editor in Chief is Prof Jeffery Martin. During this time as Editor in Chief, he has steered the journal to improvement in number of submissions, quality of papers and ranking.

Another journal in Adapted Physical Activity is the European Journal of Adapted Physical Activity (EUJAPA), and it has also improved its performance. It is now a Q2 journal in education, although listed in three other indexes and despite its recent increased performance maintains itself in Q3. EUJAPA’s editor in chief is Emertius Professor Pauli Rintala and is assisted by IFAPA Vice President Kwok Ng

EUJAPA is the official journal of the European Federation of Adapted Physical Activity and is a platinum open access journal. In other words, there are no costs to submit manuscript, to process accepted papers, or for readers to read.
