Virtus Sport is the recognized International Organisation of Sport for people with a Disability (IOSD), governing the eligibility of athletes with an intellectual impairment, elite competition, and sports development. The Virtus sports program included 15 annual events across both summer and winter sports with more than 7,000 athletes registered to compete internationally.

Virtus Sports Committees lead and manage sports and competition programs, responsible for development and growth across all regions considering aspects such as competition management, classification management, and favoring positive and mutually beneficial partnerships with International Federations.

Currently, the Equestrian Committee is welcoming applications for the position of Virtus Equestrian Committee Member- Americas Region which is a voluntary role. The international organization is searching for a sports practitioner or coach with an excellent understanding of Equestrian & highly interested to help develop the sport for riders with intellectual impairment.

Applicants should be well connected with relevant organizations in North and South America and be highly interested in helping develop Equestrian for riders with intellectual impairment in this region, including sourcing riders for the Global Games 2023 and organizing the Equestrian Event at the Regional Games in 2027.
