The Jordan Paralympic Committee has officially launched Adapted Sports Nutrition, the first global platform dedicated to nutrition for athletes with disabilities. Developed under the supervision of nutrition specialist Tamara Al-Halaiqah, the platform addresses the specific nutritional needs of Paralympic athletes across various impairments and sports.
This initiative aims to support athlete health, performance, and injury prevention through evidence-based and personalized nutrition plans. Each program is tailored to the individual’s impairment, training demands, and performance goals.
Professor Omar Hindawi, President of the Jordan Paralympic Committee, emphasized that this platform represents a key step in building a more complete support system for athletes, integrating nutrition with physical training, rehabilitation, medical care, and psychological support.
Accessible through social media, Adapted Sports Nutrition is designed to serve athletes, coaches, and families, promoting the message:
“For every Paralympic champion… a personalized nutrition plan worthy of their achievement.”
