A new international webinar series focused on inclusive research partnerships will launch on Friday, 27 February 2026, at 9:00 a.m. ET. The series brings together researchers, practitioners, and program leaders to explore collaborative approaches to research in sport, health and fitness, and school-based physical activity.
The launch webinar, titled “From Partnership to Practice: Building Collaborative Research with Special Olympics Programs,” will introduce opportunities for researchers to engage in meaningful, inclusive partnerships that support high-quality programming. The session will feature perspectives from Special Olympics staff, leaders in adapted physical activity, and athletes, highlighting how inclusive research can generate practical impact and advance participation and inclusion worldwide.
This opening session will set the foundation for future webinars by showcasing recent collaborations and outlining pathways for connecting researchers with local and regional programs. Emphasis will be placed on shared learning, co-creation, and research practices that value lived experience alongside scientific expertise.
