The Queensland Cerebral Palsy and Rehabilitation Research Centre within the Child Health Research Centre is offering an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to focus their efforts on developing their expertise and emerging research profile in the field of physical activity interventions for children and young people with cerebral palsy.
This position will lead aspects of a multi-site randomized controlled trial of a frame-running training program for children and young people with cerebral palsy. This may include providing clinical supervision and support to allied health and technical staff, oversight of frame running training and assessment fidelity/quality, regular update and management of training and assessment procedures, tracking of trial progress to agreed milestones, and academic leadership of nested studies within the trial such as qualitative interviews and best responders.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Undertake applied clinical research in the field of adapted physical activity, sports and exercise intervention.
- Produce quality research outputs consistent with discipline norms by publishing or exhibiting in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and conference publications with a lead role in some outputs.
- Participate in applications for competitive research funding to support projects and activities.
- Work with colleagues in the development of joint research projects and applications for competitive research funding support.
