Disabled Sports USA: The Inclusive Playbook

This is a FREE inclusion activity playbook (think scholastic newsletter!) designed for children, grade 3-6, and seeks to educate young children about disability awareness and adapted sports. We put a fun twist on learning and hope to bridge the gap of individuals with and without disabilities at an early age. The Inclusive Playbook also features an Inclusive Play Mat (pages 21 & 22), which is designed for children, grades K-2, as an introductory tool to help youth learn about individuals with disabilities.

In hopes to make the Inclusive Playbook the most effective tool for all, we are seeking qualified and trained professionals who can provide feedback! We encourage you to read over and complete the activities as a professional or test the Inclusive Playbook with the age groups (Grades K-2 or 3-6). Please feel free to share it with other teachers or colleagues to review as well! The idea is that these free tools would be available for download on our website as a PDF (and PowerPoint) for schools, DSUSA chapters and community partners, therapists, etc. We also hope to have printed copies available for distribution, as requested and/or conferences. There is also a 30 second adaptive sports introductory video and access to virtual reality videos as educational tools. If you are interested in reviewing the Inclusive Playbook, click here or visit: https://www.disabledsportsusa.org/inclusive-playbook/. We would love to have your feedback by Friday, November 15th, 2019. Our goal is to launch the Inclusive Playbook by January 2020.

We recognize you are professionals in the space and appreciate your time! All reviewers who provide feedback through the Inclusive Playbook Survey prior to Friday, November 15th, 2019 will be entered to win a $50 Visa Gift Card. The winner will be notified by the end of November 2019
