The four day event included an expansive programme beyond a typical online conference with many opportunities to socialise and network. The event was under the patronage of ICSSPE (http://www.icsspe.org) who held a social event in the middle of the programme and special Olympics International hosted another. Moreover, there was a student social, where individuals got the chance to meet with each other informally take part in a photo contest and help build the newly formed group that replaced the student representative, known as new emerging scholars of adapted physical activity (NESAPA).

Around 400 people from 44 countries took part in the online ISAPA 2021, with all seven IFAPA regions in attendance. Some statistics of the event include :

  • 7 keynotes
  • 2 Nordic panels
  • 19 innovation sessions
  • 62 oral presentations
  • 76 poster presentations
  • Opening and closing ceremony

Ken Black Co-founder of the inclusion club also provided a Kenz Quiz, and five lucky winners got prizes from Leado, Routledge, and the University of Jyväskylä.

Attendees have the chance to view the sessions on demand for two weeks after the symposium ended. This means, this is the last week.

Thank you to all involved in organising the Online ISAPA 2021. Many congratulations on the award winners. We hope to see you all in New Zealand for ISAPA 2023
