Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Research Post-doctoral Training Opportunity University of Alabama Birmingham.

A full-time, postdoctoral research fellowship position is available in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Medicine. The position is for one year initially with up to two additional years possible. The postdoctoral fellow will support work on a Department of Defense grant focused on defining meaningful changes in fitness and independence among individuals with spinal cord injury.

Highly motivated candidates with a PhD or equivalent degree in rehabilitation science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, psychology, physical therapy, or occupational therapy are encouraged to apply. The area of prior research experience is flexible but demonstrated experience with adults with spinal cord injury or other non-ambulatory populations is highly desired. Prior experience with the recruitment of these populations from clinical and community environments is desired. English fluency is required.
