Researchers from Maynooth University’s Assisting Living and Learning (ALL) Institute (Ireland), Vrije Univrsiteit (The Netherlands), and Loughborough University (UK) are conducting research to understand how every-day assistive technologies (AT) can facilitate engagement in sport. They are looking for assistive technology users, caregivers, supporters, coaches and teachers to complete a brief (15 minute) survey on sport engagement and AT use. Survey respondents should be at least 18 years old. The researchers define engagement in sport as a very broad concept, involving anything from watching sports on TV to playing a sport with friends, to competing at an elite level. They also encourage respondents to consider sport as everything from physical activity in your environment, individual activities like dance, swimming, or cycling, or traditional and team sports. If you consider it sport – we do too!
