Podcast
Scott McNamara is a Kinesiology Doctoral Candidate at Texas Woman’s University and has developed the “What’s new in Adapted Physical Education (APE)” podcast. This podcast aims provide an insight into the profession of APE through interviews with a variety of panels of APE professionals. The podcast is an attempt to provide an untapped means of easily receiving updates and best practice information in regards to APE.
Since 2015, Scott have been able to develop over 20 podcasts on a range of topics, ranging from leadership within the field to working with children with specific disabilities (e.g., visual impairments, Down syndrome). Within the podcast, there have also been a plethora of renowned experts to be a part of the APE panels, with experts such as Dr. Lieberman, Dr. Ulrich, and Dr. Lavay to just name a few.

Lastly, Scott is also using podcasts within his research as a doctoral candidate, where I am currently validating podcasts and examining their effectiveness in teaching APE professionals and related professionals (e.g., special education administrators).
