The Centre for Social Justice in Sport & Society is hosting an in-person workshop titled “Disability Sport & Adapted Physical Activity,” focusing on the theme “From PE to the Paralympics – Creating Inclusive & Accessible Spaces.”

The first session, led by visiting Professor Brett Smith, will explore the national Moving Social Work project and how social workers can advocate for physical activity among disabled individuals. Following this, researchers from the Centre for Social Justice in Sport & Society will delve into their collective research on disability sport, Adapted Physical Activity (APA), and the experiences of disabled individuals in sports and movement. This includes insights from the PE classroom to the Paralympic Games.

The workshop offers interactive sessions with various researchers and professionals in the field. The event is open to the public.
