14th session of the Conference of States Parties to the CRPD: Side Event
The International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA) is hosting a side event on the theme of: Right to education; challenges with inclusive education and accessibility during COVID-19.

This session will review global best practices in research and practice for inclusive physical education for children experiencing disability. Speakers include professionals and academics from Spain, Ireland, Latvia, Canada, the United States, Kenya and Finland. The session will build upon the UN Human Rights Report on Article 30 and in particular pages 13-14 on the education sector https://undocs.org/A/HRC/46/49. The session will include brief descriptions of specific research and practical programs followed by a moderated discussion of how inclusive physical education can be best positioned and designed post pandemic.

- Side events provide an excellent opportunity for the Member States, UN entities, and NGOs to discuss the themes of the COSP and other critical issues related to persons with disabilities.
