The SOCHIAFA-USS Congress on Adapted Physical Activity is a biannual meeting point where professionals from different fields involved in working with people with disabilities through physical activity and sports share their findings and experiences, attend training workshops, and establish collaborative networks.

This space invites professionals and researchers in the area who works in the fields of rehabilitation, competitive sport, recreational sport, inclusive sport, and education to discuss and analyze current issues for the national development of the adapted physical activity.

The II edition of the Congress of the Chilean Society of Adapted Physical Activity (SOCHIAFA) will be held thanks to the collaboration with the School of Kinesiology of the San Sebastian University (USS), in the facilities of the Los Leones campus, in the city of Santiago, Chile. The keynote lectures, oral communications, and poster presentations will be held in the main auditorium of the faculty, while the practical workshops will be held in the sports facilities of the University using the main gymnasium of that campus.

In this edition, national and international experts will present about different topics in adapted physical activity being the perfect prelude to the most important sporting event in the history of Chile, the Pan American and Parapan American Games Santiago 2023.

The Congress has been considered an event of interest to start the work of the new Chilean Network of Universities in Adapted Physical Activity.
