Prof. Dr. Gudrun DOLL-TEPPER is a professor at the Department of Educational Science and Psychology at Freie Universitaet Berlin. She has written numerous articles on adapted physical activity and sport for persons with a disability, physical education and sport pedagogy as well as on issues related to women in leadership positions in sport. Her research interests include the inclusion of persons with disabilities in physical education and sport, the role of physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle, different approaches to talent identification in sport, physical activity and sport in post-disaster intervention as well as women in leadership positions in sport and sport science. Dr. Doll-Tepper is former President of the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE) and since 2016 Honorary President of ICSSPE. Since 2006 she has been Vice-President of the German Olympic Sports Confederation and since 2007 she has been Chairperson of the German Olympic Academy Willi Daume. Since 2017 she is chairperson of the German Sport and Olympia Museum in Cologne. Since 2008 she is a member of the IOC Commission on “Women in Sport” and since 2015 member of the IOC Commission “Olympic Education”. In 2005 she received a doctor of laws honoris causa from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and in 2008 from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). She was awarded with several prestigious international and national awards, including the FIEP Gold Cross of Honor of Physical Education, and the Paralympic Order of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

The Steadward Talks are co-hosted by the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity and Disability in Sport International. The talks are conversations with global leaders that examine the origins and future of inclusion in sport, focusing specifically on athletes with a disability.
