The VISTA 2025 Conference will be held from 7–10 December 2025 in Egypt, gathering researchers, professionals, and stakeholders to discuss evidence-based developments in Para sport. Abstract submissions are now open for oral presentations, posters, symposia, and workshops. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 30 September 2025, and accepted contributions will address themes relevant to sport for persons with disabilities, performance enhancement, classification, and athlete health.

In addition to the scientific programme, the International Paralympic Committee has opened nominations for the 2025 IPC Scientific Award. This award recognises one individual for outstanding contributions to research or development in Para sport. Nominees should demonstrate significant scientific output, national or international recognition, and research with practical implications for the Paralympic Movement. The award will be presented during the VISTA 2025 Conference, and the recipient will deliver a keynote address at the event.

Nominations may be submitted by IPC Members, Governing Board members, the Athletes’ Council, or by the broader scientific and academic community. Current IPC officials under active mandate are not eligible. Submissions must include the completed online nomination form in English and a brief resume of the nominee, sent to medical@paralympic.org by 30 September 2025, 12:00 GMT.
