The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has opened the bidding process to host the VISTA Scientific Conferences in 2027 and 2029. These events are regarded as a central forum for professionals working in Para sport, including sport scientists, medical teams, coaches, classifiers, and other specialists.

Created in 1993, the conference aims to support collaboration and the exchange of knowledge on themes related to athlete performance, health, and classification. VISTA also promotes links between research and applied practice, contributing to the development of more inclusive sport systems and supporting the long-term progress of the Paralympic Movement.

VISTA is organised every two years. The next edition will take place from 7 to 10 December 2025 in Cairo, Egypt, under the theme “Developing Para Sport: Inclusion, Transformation, Health, and Performance.”

According to IPC leadership, hosting VISTA 2027 or VISTA 2029 offers an opportunity for institutions to contribute to the global advancement of Para sport by delivering a scientific meeting that reflects the values of the Paralympic Movement. The bidding process is open to organisations interested in becoming Local Organising Committees for one or both editions.

The bid guidelines describe the main requirements and expectations for hosts. Applications must be submitted in writing to VISTA@paralympic.org. The deadline for submission for both editions is 30 April 2026.
