The Steadward Centre team works to support the participation of adults, youth, and children experiencing disability in meaningful physical activity, parasport, and recreation activities. As a non-profit centre, within the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta, the work is focusing on research and education allowing to deliver of innovative programs and sharing knowledge and expertise with community recreation and physical activity leaders across Alberta.

There are two positions available to work at the Steadward Centre detailed as follows:

Position 1 summary: The Adapted Physical Activity Consultant – (APA) will play a key role in adapted physical activity programming at The Steadward Centre. They are responsible for designing and implementing programming across the Steadward Centre, with an increased focus on play-based, physical literacy programs for children and youth experiencing disability. As a member of the APA Consultant team, this position may also support group and 1:1 programming across the centre.

Position 2 summary: The Adapted Physical Activity Consultant – (APA) will play a key role in adapted physical activity programming at The Steadward Centre. They are responsible for designing and implementing programming across the Steadward Centre, with an increased focus on Athlete Development, Para Sport, and Young Adult initiatives.  As a member of the APA Consultant Team, this position may also support group and 1:1 exercise programming at the centre.
