The board of directors of IFAPA met to discuss the possibility of accepting the bid to host the 26th International Symposium of Adapted Physical Activity (ISAPA) 2027 to Amman, Jordan. This decision gives the local organising committee, led by Professor Dr. Omar Hindawi, four years to prepare for the international symposium. It also means that the next round of bids for hosting ISAPA would be for the 2029 event. The announcement for calls to host ISAPA 2029 is likely to open between 2024 and 2025.

The theme of the 26th ISAPA 2027 is “Optimal Performance in Adapted Physical Activity” with the planned dates of 21st – 25th June 2027.

Jordan is a link between Asia, Europe, and Africa; therefore, it is hoped to host many researchers from all over the world at this conference. This conference aims to share experience and knowledge from the academic experts and top-level coaches in the field to achieve the maximum potential of children with disability in physical education classes, Paralympic and Special Olympic athletes.
