The Executive Board of the German Olympic Academy, on their assemblies on 4th July 2023 have re-elected Prof. Dr. Gudrun Doll-Tepper as Chairperson of the academy. Gudrun was a former president of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA) and a recognized researcher in the field. Her research interests include the inclusion of persons with disabilities in physical education and sport, the role of physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle, different approaches to talent identification in sports, physical activity, and sport in post-disaster intervention as well as women in leadership positions in sport and sport science.
IFAPA wishes to congratulate Gudrun for the position and due to successfully leading organizations and teams in the spirit of fairness, respect, and inclusion, always with the objective that children, women and men, no matter from what background, can enjoy participation in physical activity and safe sport.
The upcoming ICSSPE General Assembly is on 11th November 2023 in Berlin.
