Are you a youth athlete with a disability between the ages of 15 and 24? A study carried out by @SPPARC_UWindsor

Dr. Krista Chandler, Matt Varga and colleagues are conducting a study to evaluate the effectiveness of a commonly used mental skills questionnaire. A validated questionnaire for this population will allow for the development and tailoring of specific psychological skills training (PST) programs, as youth athletes with a disability are traditionally a population that receive very little psychological skills training.

They are looking for youth athletes with a disability, ages 15-24, from anywhere in the world. This study will only include validation of the questionnaire; however, this is an essential first step towards increasing access to PST programs for youth athletes with a disability and is necessary in order to develop and implement online PST programs. With these programs, athletes with a disability will be able to effectively learn and improve upon various psychological skills, such as imagery or goal setting.

If you would like to participate in this study, begin by following the link below and then completing the 15-20 minute questionnaire.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact either Dr. Krista Chandler (chandler@uwindsor.ca) or Matt Varga (vargam@uwindsor.ca). Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you!
