The International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity is pleased to share information about the Adapted Physical Education (M.S.) program offered by the University of New Hampshire (UNH). This interdisciplinary program equips students with the skills and knowledge to become highly qualified adapted physical education teachers. The curriculum is designed to help graduates effectively teach and support students with disabilities, providing them with a quality physical education experience.

The program combines classroom learning with hands-on experience, offering fieldwork opportunities that prepare students for a wide range of careers, including adapted physical educator, educational consultant, and adaptive sports coach. Graduates will also be prepared to take the national Adapted Physical Education (APE) exam.

A unique feature of this program is the comprehensive grant available to applicants, which covers tuition and additional expenses. For more information about the grant or the program, please contact Dr. Scott McNamara at scott.mcnamara@unh.edu.

Applications for the program are now open, with deadlines for the fall semester set for April 1 (recommended) and July 1 (final). This is a great opportunity for those looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities through physical education.
